About Us
Nine Years Later...
A Child's Eyes is a unique concept in children's eyecare. We don't just sell children's glasses, we make children our entire focus. We are equipped with pint-sized furniture and a completely child-safe atmosphere. We have one focus-Children's eyewear! This is how we look at things at A Child's Eyes:
For little kids-
we make it fun!
For big kids-
we make it cool!
For parents-
we make it easy!
It's more than just glasses it's a new vision! The days when children's glasses were an add-on of the eyewear industry are over. Glasses for kids are cool, fun and durable. We are leading the way with an independent optical shop exclusively for children. What that means is that you can bring your prescription from the doctor of your choice to our dispensary and have the entire selection of frames to choose from instead of the 20-50 frames that most dispensaries have. Having a large variety of glasses not only ensures that you and your child will find the perfect-looking pair of glasses but coming to see a master-certified optician means you'll leave with a perfectly fitted pair of glasses also.
Danielle D. Crull (Miss Danielle) is an American Board of Opticianry Master-Certified Optician. She is one of just 330 in the entire US and the only one specializing in fitting of infants through teens. In addition, she is the only Master Optician in the Harrisburg area. You may view her Master's Thesis here. Having three children of her own, Jacqueline, Madison, and Carson, Miss Danielle understands what it takes to encourage a child. She feels so strongly about properly fitting glasses for children that she provides seminars to other optician's explaining the differences in fitting children versus adults. Because A Child's Eyes is a unique concept, Miss Danielle has been getting a lot of press coverage.
Jacqueline "Jax" Good is an American Board Certified Optician. She has been for working at A Child's Eyes for more than eight years. Jax loves children and plays in a band in her spare time.
Madison "Max" Crull is also an American Board Certified Optician. He's been working at A Child's Eyes for more than six years as a lab technician. He also maintains and designs our website. You can check out more of his work here.
Carson Crull is also an American Board Certified Optician. He's been working at A Child's Eyes for more than four years, taking care of the little thing around the office that the rest of us are too busy to do.
Truffles "The Kitty" Crull is an office kitty that has been working at A Child's Eyes since 2018. Originally a stray, Truffles helps out by helping children feel more comfortable getting glasses. Within a short amount of time, she has gained a huge following thanks to viral videos and news spots. You can learn more about Truffles and her mission here.
